Reasearch Thesis Question.

Hey everyone. Soon I will be writing an abstract and posting it on this blog, in preparing for this I have written a proposed thesis statement. Check it out and please comment if you have any ideas for it.

Thesis Question: How can we design a comfortable health-care environment that is both sustainable and affordable.

Application: Provide patients with comforts of home through innovative technology that will improve sound, privacy, and light control.

Hey Bert,

Thesis question looks like it is pretty good, but I think you could work on the application a little more, maybe make it moreo specific. You say health-care environment, but what kind of environment? What type of health-care will be provided and how much care will the patients need? That would have a pretty big influence on the type of facility, and I feel that could influence how you make the facility feel more like home.

Hey,
I like your thesis statement and your application. I think you should include part of your application in your thesis statement. what do you think of this one:

'How can we improve sound, privacy, and light control in a heath care facility through sustainable design.'

I dont know, thats just a rough idea. Good luck with your project.

Thanks guys, yeah this is really helpful. I think at first my topic was too narrow, then it was too broad. Now im just gonna work on making it sound decent and narrowing my topic down a lot and possibly selecting a location for my research to focus on.

Hey Bert, Your thesis seems a little broad to me but I came across this while actually looking at an article for myself on SABmag, there was a small article about window screens/coverings that filter the air, seems like a perfect product for helping to improve a hospital or health care facility. Sure hope it helps, it's sounds really interesting to me.
